Rhythm Guitar focus
Improve on your rhythm guitar playing, learning to play basic two finger open chords progressing up to full Jazz guitar chord voicing. start with basic strum patterns and learn to build and develop your own rhythmic techniques. learn a variety of finger picking patterns and play around with the blues shuffle.
Lead Guitar focus
Learn to improvise lead guitar solo's, making good use of scales and
arpeggio's, building on essential lead guitar technique's such as string
bending and trills. learn the classic 5 note scales and learn to play basic melodies all the way to playing modal scales and mastering the CAGED system.
1 - 2 - 1 Group Sessions / Workshops
At Guitar Function it is encouraged to play with other musicians, group lessons are an option, if you and a friend or family member wish to learn together, this is often a lot of fun. guiding the students to 'jam' and play with each other, group sessions can be made available whether its two guitar players or a full band.
